Note from the seller: “We should start by saying, we really do love this beautiful house. This home will always hold a special place in our heart because it is where we first brought our son home from the hospital. Where he had so many of his “firsts”. What peace of mind it offers to have a home that feels so safe with lovely neighbors always willing to help out with a small task with just a moment’s notice and always greeting you with a friendly smile and a wave. We’ve spent many evenings taking family walks in our little cul-de-sac, and when we were looking for a more robust evening stroll, headed across the street to Hawk’s Nest. Our proximity to Purdue and I-65 greatly influenced our decision to purchase this home. Both my husband and I worked at Purdue when we first moved here, and our morning and evening commute was easy and super-efficient. Currently, my husband works at the Purdue Research Park, my son attends daycare there as well and I work in downtown INpolis. The ability to hop on 65 within a 2-3-minute drive from our home made my commute to Indy for both work and play less of a burden and we can easily get to all the stores and restaurants on 26 as well. Even though our home sits on a county road, I can honestly share that it has not negatively impacted our time here one bit. It’s extremely quiet and safe.

This house has always been a family owner-occupied home and has been cared for accordingly. Within the last two years, we’ve replaced the heating and central cooling units and a new roof was put on the house prior to us moving into the home in 2017. The pool has also provided plenty of extracurricular activity during the warm summer months (especially this year due to the COVID limitations) and we enjoy our evenings out on the deck with a beer or glass of wine and some great conversation with friends. It’s like having a little resort right in our own backyard. The fenced yard is perfect for little ones and pets to burn some energy running around and with the gate separating the yard from the pool area, we are provided extra piece of mind for our child’s safety.

You may be asking yourself, “if you love this house so much why in the world are you moving?” Well unfortunately, all our family and friends are in Northeastern Pennsylvania and more than an 11-hour drive away. With the onset of the pandemic limiting our ability to travel and my employer offering the option to transition to full-time remote work, it was in the best interest of our family to relocate back to our hometown so that we can raise our son near his grandparents and extended family and friends. It was not an easy decision because we really do love our home, our neighborhood and the immense amount of opportunity the state of IN affords us, but family just means more. I truly hope this house brings as much joy and comfort to its next family as it has for us over these last few years. Thank you so much for your time and good luck in finding your most perfect home.”
