Kristy Miley is a great realtor and I strongly recommend her to anyone who is in need of someone who will listen and work with them to get the best results out of their quest to either sell their home or purchase the best possible one. I hired Kristy after interviewing a few realtors and I was impressed by her level of energy and motivation. She will listen to your needs and provide you with the best advice and the right kind of help that is meant to maximize the results and make your experience easier. In our case, while another experienced realtor suggested to list our home at a significantly lower price, Kristy was able to sell it at the price we wanted and within 24 hours! While not every home will sell within 24 h, the price she was able to secure speaks of her ability to look at the bigger picture, and take into account the client’s input. Starting low is not the only strategy to sell a home and she understood that. Another positive, among many others, is that Kristy will work with you every step of the way and inform you of what you need to do every time. Other realtors I’ve worked with previously sometimes failed to let us know of details I would have liked to be informed of, but not Kristy. She’ll be on top of every issue every single time. We had the pleasure of working with Kristy over the summer as she helped us sell our house. I wish 5 stars could express how proactive and hard-working Kristy is! I contacted her 36 hours before leaving the country on vacation, expecting we would list the house on the market when we return. The  house was on the market within 24 hours, with amazingly beautiful photos that she took even though I had not had time to completely declutter the interior. In terms of responsiveness, Kristy made us feel like we were her only clients. She usually replies instantaneously, and a “late” reply for her is about 30 minutes. She checked in regularly with us even it was just to share information and reassure us that she is actively working on getting the house sold. This was the first time we sold a house, and it was a stressful time in our lives with new jobs and a cross-country move. She made the entire process easy and manageable and relieved us of what could have been a huge additional stress. Kristy is very social media savvy and tech savvy, she will accommodate any apps and type of communication you prefer, and is overall a very nice person and lovely to work with. I would not hesitate to work with her again in the future!

Kristy is absolutely amazing, and I there’s no way I can overstate how wonderful she is to work with. She helped me list my home in Lafayette for sale starting in December 2016, and worked with me until the sale closing date in April 2017. Some key strengths:

1. Responsiveness. Anytime I wanted  to speak with Kristy, she was either immediately available, or made time within an hour or two. She is great with texting, emails, and phone time! Communication could have been exceptionally challenging because I was trying to sell my home after having already relocated to the west coast, but despite the time difference she was available even in the evenings.
2. Attentive and responsive to individual needs. I was located on the west coast, with full-time responsibility for the care of a very sick relative; I wasn’t able to fly back and forth to attend to individual issues with the house, and couldn’t invest a lot of money in non-essential improvements either before listing the home, or in response to buyer’s requests. Kristy was excellent walking me through what needed to be done, and when, and helped prioritize with me how to best use my money and time resources. She also discussed my situation, when appropriate and with my permission, with other realtors, in order to make any negotiations and timelines as accommodating as possible.
3. Overall knowledge about the local housing market and available resources. Many, may examples here I could list, but the two most impressive ones are A) Kristy’s recommended listing price was right where the final bank assessment came back, and B) any time I needed to hire a contractor or have work done on the house prior to closing, Kristy was immediately able to provide me with names and contact information for local help. The people she recommended were always very reasonably priced, quick to respond, and finished the promised work on time despite a typically tight time table.
4. Personality. Kristy is fun, funny, energetic, supportive, and just a general pleasure to talk to and work with! She’s easily one of my favorite people in Lafayette 🙂

Kristy helped us purchase our home in West Lafayette after a less than desirable experience with the realtor who BARELY sold our Lafayette house. Kristy new what we were selling and what were looking for in our future home. She listened to our concerns and was patient in answering our many  questions. After looking at many houses and stressing about the possibility of being homeless in our transition, Kristy got us a great deal. She has a fantastic, easy-going, and honest personality while maintaining her professionalism. We have recommended her to others, and we will continue to do so.

After a bad first experience, Kristy showed us what someone who is passionate and experienced can really do. Kristy has taken the Wabash Valley Trust’s restored homes marketing program to the next level. Kristy has used her networks to professionally market our labors of love and sell them quickly. This improved turnaround increases our organization’s credibility and makes us eligible for additional grants. Kristy’s savvy real estate marketing skills have taken a huge project off of our executive director’s plate and allowed us to spend more time on procuring the next house sooner. I value her energy and dedication and have engaged her as my own realtor since I enjoy working with her so much professionally.

Kristy was fantastic when she represented us in both selling our old home and buying a new one. In selling our home, she gave us fantastic advice as to what repairs to make, how to stage the home, and how to set a price to sell the home quickly. Our house sold in 9 days! Kristy got to know us in the process and helped us find a fantastic new home with everything we were looking for. When problems arose in the negotiations, Kristy was quick to aid us in addressing the issues and made everything run very smoothly.
